CAMPAIGN UPDATE
May 11, 2018 – Surrey, BC
The City of Surrey has launched a public consultation process asking for input on the Guilfdord Town Centre and 104 Avenue Corridor Plan. The plan is centered around the $1.65 billion Surrey-Newton-Guildford LRT line running on 104th Avenue.
This is your opportunity to tell the City of Surrey that you don’t support the Surrey-Newton-Guildford LRT, Surrey’s LRT vision, and plans to reduce roadway capacity on 104th Avenue for LRT.
Remember: last year in November, the City of Surrey admitted in their own report that the proposed SNG LRT line will create massive congestion on city streets throughout Guildford.
There are several ways to participate in this process:
An online survey is available on Surrey’s CitySpeaks survey platform and it is open to the public:

It is absolutely imperative that everyone participate this survey and make the City of Surrey aware of the opposition to LRT and the 104 Ave plan!

SkyTrain for Surrey is the community organization that advocated for the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain extension, and continues to push for high-quality rapid transit projects in Surrey and Langley. We began as a petition calling for the scrapping of a street-level LRT proposal, which eventually amassed more than 6,000 signatures, and later contributed to making SkyTrain an election issue as a registered third-party advertiser. SkyTrain for Surrey continues to call for high-quality projects that offer a positive return-on-investment and recognize the rapidly increasing demand for transit.
