June 13, 2017 – Surrey, BC
Today we have more than 2300 signatures and a strong network of SkyTrain supporters calling for a better deal for transit riders South-of-Fraser!
In the coming weeks we will have another opportunity to make this call. TransLink has announced the next round of Surrey-Newton-Guildford LRT consultations, and three additional Open House sessions will be happening, starting this Saturday at the Surrey Arts Centre. Please be sure to add the dates in your calendar!
Volunteer With Us
To assist our outreach efforts, we are looking for volunteers to join us at this open house as well as in future events.
Volunteers are important help to bring awareness about this issue by doing things such as talking to the public at events, distributing flyers and other materials, and taking part in other public outreach efforts which may include rallies and speaking at board and Council Meetings. Get in touch with us by filling out the form below:
This page will be updated when more info releases about the LRT consultations.
SkyTrain for Surrey is a local grassroots organization calling for a SkyTrain and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network instead of the currently-proposed on-street Light Rail system in Surrey. Our campaign has called on decision-makers to build the Langley Extension of the SkyTrain Expo Line, in conjunction with an extension of the 96 B-Line to Coquitlam Centre and White Rock as a Bus Rapid Transit system.
Our campaign directors: Daryl Dela Cruz (Surrey, chair), Jacky Au (Surrey), Spencer Whitney (Langley)
