PRESS RELEASE: 50+ signatures on petition against SkyTrain service cuts

With more than 50 signatures on a petition as a part of a recently-launched campaign against some proposed SkyTrain service cuts launched by a Surrey-based transit-concerned Initiative, it is evident that there are several riders from across the Metro Vancouver region who care about it and their mobility experience.

“It really only takes a moment of standing on the Metrotown Station platform in Burnaby during a Saturday or a Sunday and watching the scene unfold to know that the proposed service cuts are going to be a catastrophe for SkyTrain commuters,” says Daryl Dela Cruz, a statistics analyst at SkyTrain for Surrey Initiative.

The Initiative continues to look for more ways to garner attention and support. Relevant information about campaign and petition can be viewed on the Initiative’s website at skytrainforsurrey.org/wewant6.
